Risk Matrix Percent ranges show 20000000.0%

Sometimes our users are trying to modify the Risk Matrix, however the '%' seem to be completely off. the percentage is showing like "20000000.0%" which is faulty. This problem occurs due to regional settings for decimal and digit group symbol are the same in the regional settings. This causes the so...

Re: Importing Microsoft Project Files

Most commonly this error occurs when users attempt to import a *.mpp file. RiskyProject does not support this format. Files should be saved in xml format to import directly to RiskyProject. Alternatively, you can use the RiskyProject Addin for Microsoft Project (installs automatically) to import dat...

Re: Branching and milestones

Because you are looking at probabilities for the project as a whole, the two activities that are at the end of each branch are not needed. We want to interpret what happens to the last activity, not the results of the two branches individually because they will have unrealistic results by themselves...

Re: Setting a statistical distribution for group of tasks

To quickly change the distribution type, you can use the Set Low/High Duration dialog box. This dialog only updates those values that have been modified in the dialog box. For example if you only change the statistical distribution, no other task data will be modified. To modify the statistical dist...

Advantages of RiskyProject Enterprise

he possible impact of risks are rarely isolated to a particular project. While the impacts of financial, resources, suppliers, etc can be assessed at the project level, the same risks often have impacts across multiple projects and programs. This poses several questions. What is the cumulative impac...

The RiskyProject MSP Addin does not include the schedule consolidation feature. You must import the schedule into the RiskyProject Professional desktop either using the Addin or as an xml file to run the consolidation.

Re: Applying Risks to Consolidated Schedules

Risks should be applied after consolidation has been performed. If a risk is applied to a single activity prior to consolidation, it will be assigned with the same probability and impacts to a consolidated task and which may not be optimal.

Re: Risk Outcomes vs Moment of Risk

You are looking at the "Moment of Risk", not risk outcomes. The confusion arises because “Statistical Distribution for Risk Outcomes” has not been enable and so you only see a single outcome field rather than Low, First thing you need to do is ensure that the "Enable Statistical Distribution for ris...

Here is another important note. Some our clients ask us if Excel spreadsheet needs to be formatted any specific way to be imported to RiskyProject. Re: Compatibility and sharing files between versions causing issues

RiskyProject versions are always backwards compatible, but they are not forwards compatible. In practical terms what does this mean. You can open files from older versions, in newer versions (backwards compatibility); however, because the new versions are not just an update, but are new software wit...

Re: actual costs

If you are not using resources as part of your cost calculations then it is straight forward. As activities are completed, you can update cost either in your management schedule or in RiskyProject in the Income and Cost view. On the other hand, if you are using a resource loaded schedule to calculat...
