Risk Chance and Outcome default settings

Why when I start to add a risk to a task, does it automatically add the chance and outcome type?

These are default settings for what is called risk assignment and are set in the Project Options > Risk tab. You can modify these settings for both the chance, outcome, and outcome type. As these defaults can not be disabled, we currently recommend that you set the default Chance and Outcome to 0 to ensure that you assign invalid values for the risk. However, if you are doing a risk assessment that only include schedule or cost, you can select a default outcome for schedule or cost to ensure this category is always selected by default.
