We are currently working on RiskyProject 4 enterprise which supposes to be released Q1, 2010.

Existing RiskyProject Professional and RiskyProject Lite will become desktop client for database driven system. We will also offer RiskyProject Enterprise Web Client. It will have the following functionalities:

• Risk management: risk register, risk matrix, threat and opportunities, opened and closed risks, etc.
• Collaboration and reporting: risk history, mitigation history, e-mail notifications, etc.
• Project dashboard and risk statistics

All existing clients of RiskyProject 3.x will receive RiskyProject 4 (enterprise) free of charge. Enterprise functionalities can be turned on and off. If they are turned off, RiskyProject will perform risk analysis for the single project as it is currently done. If enterprise functionalities are on, RiskyProject will save risks and schedule to the corporate database. Multiple users can access corporate database at the same time.

Our company is a process of establishing risk management processes. We are interested in RiskyProject Enterprise. Will it be desktop or web-based software?

RiskyProject 4 will have both desktop and web interfaces. Desktop interface should be out Q1, 2008. Web license will follow later this year. The desktop interface is essentially desktop version of RiskyProject Lite and RiskyProject Professional. You may use RiskyProject 4 to work with projects on your local computer. At the same time you can configure RiskyProject 4 so it becomes a client for the enterprise risk management. In this case risk register will be located on server: risks can be shared among different projects.

If you already have RiskyProject 3 you will receive RiskyProject 4 free of charge.

Here is how RiskyProject enterprise will work:

Enterprise version

Post by Aren_YU » Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:51 am

Looking at the diagram, is the enterprise client a separate installation of the software. So if we currently have several licenses, will we be able to hook into the enterprise version with our current licenses or will we need to upgrade.

Using existing licenses with enterprise version

Post by bbadmin » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:01 am

You will need to install the latest version when the enterprise system is released. The newest version will have two options when you install: standalone or enterprise. The enterprise version will then require you to enter in your user name and db credentials. The database should be installed by your DBA or IT team prior to installing the enterprise version.

If you have purchased the full version of 3.0 or higher, then the upgrade to version 4 will be free. However if you have a version 2.x license, then you will be required to purchase an upgrade, plus an additional charge for the database depending upon your licensing agreement.

Risk modeling improvements

Post by Intaver Support » Fri Mar 19, 2010 11:40 am

We will be implementing risk modeling using 3 pt estimates and distributions in version 4.

While the current method of risk modeling provides a very flexible method using mutually exclusive alternatives (- which are just custom distributions - they require more work. Therefore we will provide this as a simpler, easier solution while maintaining the option to use the custom distributions.

Enterprise project views

Post by Marrko » Wed Apr 14, 2010 10:09 am

Just be interested to know what type of views that the enterprise system will have to look at risk or project data rolled up to the enterprise level. This is what our management will be most interested in.

Enterprise reporting

Post by Intaver Support » Wed Apr 14, 2010 10:16 am

Currently, we have two standard portfolio views that we are planning to release with version 4.2.

1. Risk view: This will provide an overview of major risk data for all projects in a single view. The risk score can be based on a single benchmark (Cost, Duration, etc) or a composite score much like the risk score currently in the risk register. From this view, users will be able to drill down and view detailed data including specific probability charts and data for major project parameters etc.

2. Portfolio Gantt: This will show the calculated schedules for all of the projects in the portfolio. This will allow users to easily understand how risks and uncertainty in earlier projects will affect other projects in the portfolio and allow them to make quick decisions regarding future planning
