How does the option “ Risk assignments to different tasks are correlated option” work?

The “ Risk assignments to different tasks are correlated option” is located in the Project > Risk tab. So how does it work and why should you use it?
Risks can be assigned to one or more tasks and resources. In the underlying risk model, each assignment is considered its own risk event. When the risk assignments are correlated, it means that they are treated as a single risk event during each iteration of a simulation. If they are not correlated, if you have a risk that is assigned to multiple activities or resources, then during an iteration, each assignment of a single risk can occur independently of each other; therefore, a risk could occur on one activity, but not another. As we typically think of risks as singular events that can occur that affect one or more activities, we recommend that this option is selected by default.

In most real life projects risk assignments are correlated. In other words if risk occurred, it affects all tasks this risk is assigned to. For example, risk 'fire' if it occurred will affect all tasks this risk is assigned to. So we recommend to keep this check box on.
