Computer trying to open older version of RiskyProject

Post by Daniel001 » Tue Jul 26, 2011 10:38 am

Any idea why I'm getting this message when I try to open an .alm
file? I have deleted 3.2 when I installed 4.2....

The program associated with the *.alm extension has changed. So that you can open a file directly from a folder rather than through an application, windows associates a program (exe) to the extension. This is saved as a shortcut which the pathway to the specific program. Because the new version is in a new folder (4.2 vs 3.2) this association needs to be updated.

To update the file tyoe association, right-click on the file and choose Properties. In the General tab, locate the Type of File group. Click the Change button.
Browse to the new RiskyProject.exe located in C:Program Files\Intaver\RiskyProject 4.2\
