Software Sales Representative

We are currently looking for a qualified Sales Representative to join our team in our McLean, VA, office.

This Sales Representative will be responsible for securing customer commitment to renew software upgrades by selling the value of upgrading, positioning value-add service solutions, and handling objections, as needed and using established cross selling and up selling programs to generate new business. This will be accomplished by managing software upgrade opportunities through proactive sales initiatives, working closely with the virtual account and support teams, and leveraging internal business processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Business to Business sales experience with proven results in a quota-oriented environment and/or previous related inside or outside sales experience coupled with an understanding of technology and technological innovations.
  • Account management experience and relevant experience in sales for the technology industry, or both, is a plus
  • Excellent cold calling, selling, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented, enthusiastic, and a quick learner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT, business or sales-related field preferred
  • Business travel of approximately 5% or less yearly is expected for this position
