Importing Risk Registers into an existing schedule

Post by Ken »

Getting odd results after importing a risk register and assigning risks. I can provide the files if you have any suggestions on what might be going on.

Check the file and noticed that there are a lot of global risks many of which are assigned to activities that have local task risks. When you import a risk register there is no task assignments, so by default the risks are set as global. However if the risk is global and local at the same time this will cause double counting. If you are going to use this method, I recommend doing a quick visual check in the Risk Assignment view to remove these.

To delete the global risk assignment, right-click on it and in the shortcut menu, click Delete Risk Assignment.
