Microsoft Project Addin

Post by Strategy Table »

I really like new addin for Microsoft Project 2010. I installed RiskyProject 5.0 and ribbon in Microsoft Project 2010 looks great. My question is what will happen if I install Lite version of RiskyProject 5.0 on the same computer? Would it use the same RiskyProject ribbon in Microsoft Project, or different ribbon? If it uses that same ribbon what RiskyProject would be launched? The reason why we need evaluate Lite version, we are planning to buy around 100 licenses of RiskyProject and need to know how many licenses of Professional and Lite do we need to purchase.

If you install RiskyProject Lite and RiskyProject Professional on the same computer, you will be presented with two ribbons:
- RiskyProject 5
- RiskyProject 5 Lite
These ribbons will be associated with corresponding software. So you can install both RiskyProject Lite and RiskyProject Professional on the same computer without any problems.

Yes. RiskyProject has two sets of addins: for Microsoft Project 2010 and Microsoft Project 2003/2007. When you install RiskyProject and Microsoft Project 2003/2007 is installed on your computer, appropriate addin will be installed automatically. You may always install addin manually:

- start RiskyProject
- click on Tools -> Install Integration with Microsoft Project
- launch Microsoft Project 2003/2007

Make sure that macros in Microsoft Project 2003/2007 are enabled.

Yes. When you are installing RiskyProject and MS Project 2013 is already installed on your computer, RiskyProject ribbon add-in should automatically appear within MS Project 2013 ribbon.
