MPX is an industry standard project data format.
MPX is Microsoft Project Exchange file format. It is used in many applications, including Primavera, FastTrack, SureTrak, TurboProject, MindManager, etc.Microsoft Project 2000, 2002 and 2003 can read (import) files in the Microsoft Project Exchange MPX file format; however, it does not allow users to save MPX files.
The MPX file format is essentially a record-formatted text file containing project data in ASCII text format. It contains only rudimentary project data, permitting users to exchange project data with other applications. Microsoft has introduced XML file format in Microsoft Project 2002. RiskyProject can read data from XML format but cannot save data.
