Critical chain
We are trying to implement critical chain project management (CCPM). Could you explain what is the relationship between CCPM and event chain methodology? Can I use RiskyProject for CCPM?

We consider Event chain methodology as a next step beyond Critical chain. Event chain methodology is uncertainty modeling and schedule network analysis technique, which focuses on managing events and event chains in the project schedule.
Here is how our clients are using Event chain methodology:
1. Event chain methodology can be used to calculate buffer in Critical chain based on actual risks and uncertainties. RiskyProject will give you baseline project finish time and finish time with risks and uncertainties. You can use this information to determine the buffer with different confidence level (50%, 90%, 95%, etc.)
2. Instead of managing buffer, you may use event chain methodology to manage the chance that project will be completed on time. This chance usually changes when project progresses. The idea is to keep this chance within certain limit. For example the chance that project will be completed on time should always be above 80%.
