Risk Analysis of Linear Projects
In linear projects activities are associated with certain locations. They are usually construction projects, such as building and roads where each activities have location attributes in addition to duration, start and finish times, cost, resources and other attributes of traditional project schedules. Time location charts are a way of visualizing project schedules with linear locations on the horizontal axis, and dates on the vertical axis.
Time location charts could be presented for original project schedule and risks-adjusted project schedule. Risk adjusted project schedule is a result of project risk analysis. Comparing risk adjusted project schedule and original project schedule helps to determine how risks would affect your project.
Results of project risk analysis performed in RiskyProject can be presented using Turbo-Chart software by Linear Project Software. Please review our presentation how integrated RiskyProject – Turbo-Chart solution would help to analyze and visualize your linear schedule.

New Webinar: How to Perform Risk Analysis on Agile Projects
Intaver Institute announced new webinar “How to perform risk analysis on Agile projects”. Agile is the most popular management process in different industries including development and delivery of software systems. This popularity is due to Agile’s ability to effectively manage the risks and uncertainties that are inherent in delivering complex projects. However, managers still need to provide estimates for cost and schedule to deliver system capabilities that account for risk and uncertainties. Ownership and management groups require these estimates as the basis of investment decisions and contract management. In this webinar, we will show how conventional quantitative project risk analysis on schedule and cost can be adapted to the Agile methodology to improve estimates and avoid either overruns or under delivery of system capabilities.

New Article: Portfolio Risk Analysis
Intaver Institute published new article “Portfolio Risk Analysis”. Projects can part of a larger portfolio in which projects are strategically selected and managed. Project portfolios can share common risks, mitigation and response plans, and resources. Conversely, these same projects exposure to these same risks can vary and have different scores for the same risks. One the key goals of project portfolio management is to align and prioritize projects based upon the organizations objectives. Part of this process takes place using an enterprise risk register that contains all the risks the organization faces. Risks from this risk register can be assigned to different projects, and in turn, to each projects tasks and resources. Click here to download the paper in PDF format.
